Jesus fulfilled religious law perfectly and completely (Matt 5:17) and created a New Covenant between God and man that provided eternal forgiveness of sins (Heb 9:15).

The New Covenant offers ALL mankind the opportunity to receive salvation as a free gift. (Rom 3:30+10:9-13 / Eph 2:8-9 / 1 John 2:2). Jesus’ death and resurrection sealed this Covenant of Grace {with God’s Unconditional Love and Mercy} (Matt 26:28 / Rom 11:27).

Everyone who believes in Jesus is counted as righteous (2 Cor 5:21)! His Spirit gives us new life (2 Cor 3:6 / 2 Cor 5:17) and He writes His Law of Love upon our hearts (Heb 10:16). This ‘Good News’ is for every man, woman and child, in every nation, across the whole earth!(Luke 24:46-47 / Matt 28:18-20)

Faith in Jesus is built on the Love and Grace of God, which leads us to into a relationship of love and respect for Him (John 15:15), not a slavish obedience. In Christ, we become ‘children of God’ (John 1:12). As we look to the teachings of Jesus, His Heart is to inspire our walk with God, not to condemn us (Rom 8:1). We need to remember that we are saved by grace through faith (Eph 2:8-9).

In the religious world, it is easy to think in a legalist way and believe that we will need to maintain favour with God by keeping up with religious law. But the truth is that ‘we are under grace, not law‘ (Rom 6:14). There is no rejection or condemnation in Christ (Rom 8:1).

As we put our faith in Him, we are transformed from the inside out, beginning in our hearts (2 Cor 3:17-18). In Jesus, we have freedom to know God as He really is and the freedom to receive His Love. We do not need to earn God’s Love ~ it is ours already! (Jer 31:3 / John 3:16-17 / 1 John 3:1).

For His Love is freely given, not merited by keeping religious law (Rom 3:28 / Gal 2:16). And through His Abundant Grace, the ‘new you’ (the ‘real you’ that God created you to be) can emerge from the ‘cocoon’ of performance based work, and begin to learn how to ‘fly’ (like a butterfly) in the freedom of His Unconditional Love.
