• Word of love from The Father’s Heart
  • My dear child, do not think that I would ever abandon you, for I have loved you before all time. I know the suffering you have been through in your life.
  • I have carried you through all the years and My Son carried all your burdens upon The Cross. His ‘Tree of Life’ has conquered all things and has robbed all power from the enemy of your soul.
  • Nothing in all creation can separate you from Me and no weapon formed against you can prosper because of The Son’s victory and My Father Heart for you.
  • The troubles you have suffered belong to this world alone, they are not enduring, but you shall endure and you shall know the fullness of life, hope, joy and love that I give to you without cost, for the price has been paid by My Son.
  • Thus My Arms are open wide and My love is everlasting; I AM with you always and forever, for I AM Lord of your past, present and future.

Each of us have personal memories or situations that only we can truly know, and yet there is ONE who understands with us and is at our side throughout it all (Heb 4:14-16). In my own past, I did not always know that Jesus was with me and often doubted God’s love. I also asked the common question ‘why?’ many times during the most difficult moments of my life. However, all my doubts and questions did not damage God; and He did not turn away from me when I was confused or depressed, instead He was my place of safety (Ps 18:2).

In fact He walked every step ‘in my shoes’ and showered me with His grace and mercy (Ez 34:26). Although His presence was unseen and ‘unfelt’ by me at the time, looking back I know now that Jesus has always been there (Ps 16:8). I would like to share some personalised Bible verses that God has led me to over the years, which I hope will be helpful to the reader as you give your own past moments to God who loves you completely. It took me time to relate to these and for them to root deep and powerfully in my own heart, but now that they have, the truth has set me free. Just as a seed planted in soil grows (Mark 4), I pray that these will grow as a message of God’s comfort and peace to you personally.

Some personalised Bible verses put together to encourage and bless:

Whenever my soul is downcast, I still put my hope in God, my Saviour and Lord. For every day He directs His love towards me, and every night His song is always there. God found me in a wilderness, a desert land; He encircled me, and instructed me; and kept me as the apple of His eye. He said to me: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. I AM doing a new thing! I AM making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland”. He also said: “I will lead you by ways you have not known; I will guide you along new paths and turn the darkness into light. I will not forsake you. Therefore, arise and do not be afraid to shine! For the glory of the LORD is upon you”. He gave me a new heart and a new mind, as my old stubborn and stony heart became tender through delighting in God. I stopped evaluating things from a purely human point of view, as I recognised that Jesus redeemed my past. For God is not counting my sins because of all Jesus has done.

Prayer

Thank You Lord that You are the same yesterday, today and forever. You do not change. You are always love and will always be love itself. Thank You that You have loved me throughout the years and that You are my refuge. Please help me as I come to terms with the things of the past and commit them to You. For in You there is peace, in You there is victory and in You my joy will be found. For You are everything to me, and You are the source of all hope. I choose to make You Lord of my past, which means it now has no power over me. The Cross has taken the sting out of my past, so no matter how scary things may appear, You have defeated the enemy of my soul, forever!  In Jesus Name. Amen.
