This is part of our family’s testimony from my first book

At the birth of our second son, I had to have an emergency operation because of a seriously high blood pressure. I saw Jesus come into the delivery room while I was having an eclamptic fit.

He appeared at the end of my hospital bed, as though He was watching over me. As the blood pressure went off the chart where ‘technically’ the body cannot normally survive, I saw Jesus look straight at me and I knew He could feel every pain I was experiencing.

I chatted with Him (from within my heart) while the hospital staff were doing all they could beside me, then suddenly the blood pressure dropped dramatically and Jesus disappeared from my sight, although I knew that somehow He was still present there with me.

The hospital staff were relieved but bemused at the sudden descent of such a high pressure returning to normal, which is what they were seeking to achieve but had been struggling to do so.

Meanwhile, the baby had been sent to the neonatal unit where he lay helplessly supported by machines and fighting for his life too. When I eventually saw our little son, his skin was a blue colour and he did not look well. He was breathing through an apparatus and was ‘hooked up’ to numerous medical devices!

Later that night I spoke to God asking Him to use the faith that I had, as I thought my faith was ‘small’ at the time. However, Jesus never said we needed ‘big’ faith; He just called us to believe.

I decided to cast all doubts aside and began to ask for one problem to be healed at time so that I could see one monitor at a time removed from his bedside whenever I visited the baby, until he was completely well. That was where my faith was at that time.

Over the next two days our son came off every medical device and finally we saw that he began to breath unaided, which amazed doctors and nurses alike.

As we submit our lives to Jesus, God can turn any situation around for our good, because He Himself is good, all the time. You are loved by Him and He is with you always.
