God’s Word says that without vision (i.e. without hope) people perish (Prov 29:18). I believe God wants to envision His People and restore hope to those who have lived through many struggles. God has so much for us to enjoy in Him. Therefore I begin with a vision and word of encouragement that I personally received from The Lord during a time of my own difficulties. Please receive this encouragement for yourself, whatever your situation may be, and allow God to speak to your heart through the following words….

• Vision of hope

During a time of upheaval, I felt The Lord speak to me in a vision, where He showed me something which looked like an aeroplane landing strip. The surrounding was dark but there was light coming into the picture which looked like the dawn trying to break through the night sky. Then I saw narrow beams of light shining upwards from the sides of the runway, offering a direction to follow.

I could have missed recognising these lights except that God reminded me to “look for the light even in a dark situation”. As I watched the plane, it rose out of the darkness back into the sky where the beams pointed to the breaking dawn. Night was becoming day again…another day. I got the impression of some words while watching the plane, which were: “don’t allow dark thoughts to land”.

I then found myself as though ‘inside the vision’ piloting the plane, experiencing the thrill of rising into the skies. Mist began breaking over the wings of the plane as the flight soared through the clouds, embracing the light of day above. It was amazing to see God’s world below and His heavens all around…. It was an awesome sense flying ‘through the heavens’. As I watched the vision unfold, I felt God speak the following words of blessing and encouragement ……

 Word of encouragement

 My dear child, this is what you were made for…you are from above, not below…you belong above, not below. Do not allow the enemy to make you land in the darkness of his thinking…the darkness of his accusations. If you do not land there, he cannot win. If you do, you shall find yourself trapped for a time.

 But even then, darkness cannot hold back light…light eventually will break through…have you noticed this? When darkness has loomed, have you not seen how many times My Word and My Light has caused ‘your plane’ to rise and begin its journey again? And how many times has the darkness drawn you back down? How long did you stay before you took back to the air where you belong? And what about the times you felt as though you had a ‘crash landing’? What did you learn? Did you stay there or did you fly again? In Me there is always another day…there is always a tomorrow, and there is always a today. Yesterday is gone…do not live on events of the past…do not live in traps of the past, but do learn from them.

 Can darkness really HOLD back a child of light? Do you see? Do you now understand? Do you perceive how light dispels darkness? Recall to your mind: the ‘light shines in the darkness but the darkness has not understood it’(John 1:5)…and ‘the darkness has not put it out’…and it never can… it can only cover it over as with a bushel…but take off the bushel, and you still have light! Now you are beginning to understand My ways….My wisdom…My discernment of heart. Hold on to what you have learnt and spread MY WORD which brings life, freedom and peace to all who receive. Do not be held captive again by fears or anxieties; instead when darkness beckons remember THE LIGHT which causes you to soar again inside.

 Never again will you need to ‘land’ in a pit of despair…you may feel sadness and losses, and know grieving and false accusation, but none of these things need condemn you to an open pit…for you are above and not below the circumstances you encounter. Spread your wings of faith and hope, for you have wings to fly…you have light to shine. My Kingdom is within you, My Light has become your own. This is your inheritance as a child of The King. The Light of The World is living within you; therefore you will overcome any darkness that presses in…YOU will put the enemy ‘to flight’…and YOU will soar as an eagle on the wings of the wind. I have told you these things so that in Me you will have peace.

 In this world you will have troubles…persecutions, wars, famine…loss, grief and pain…but take heart for I have CONQUERED it all on your behalf. All things are overcome in My Name. Therefore, follow My Name and My Heart, and you will find peace for your soul. Heaven will come to earth…heaven will overcome you…heaven will become ‘the norm’…sickness pain and death WILL vanish. But today, rest in the knowledge that when your light shines, you bring another piece of heaven to earth. When you pray, the light breaks through… and when you walk among men, you bring a piece of heaven within their reach. Be at peace; find your wings and fellowship with Me. I AM with you always and I carry you close to My heart.
